We're Falling for These Autumn Decor Ideas
Yes, the temperature can still read 90-degrees in September in Florida. But that doesn’t mean we Floridians can’t acknowledge the changing seasons. There’s no better way to celebrate the autumn months than with some easy outdoor decorations. We’ve gathered a few of our favorite ideas to give you inspiration!
(You can use the links and add them to the pinterest page. It’s best if we can show the photo of each design within the blog for visual interest.
Decarate with Hay
Nothing says Fall like hay stacks. Use them on your front porch to add height and show off some decorated pumpkins. Corn stalks can also be added for extra interest. Best of all, hay stacks are relatively inexpensive.
Trade Summer Brights for Autumnal Shades
Changing the accent colors on your front porch or lanai is a simple way to transition into Fall. Instead of bright, summer colors, try using pillows, throws, or even an arrangement of artificial flowers in seasonal oranges, rusts, and golds.
Designer Pumpkins
Who says you have to turn pumpkins into Jack-o-lanterns? A little paint and some craft supplies and you can have a beautiful accessory piece for your entryway, shelf or kitchen table. Since you may not find fall leaves in Florida, try purchasing fake ones at a craft store.
Got Gords?
Using the different shapes and sizes of gords will add interest almost any door step display. Consider lining steps with the seasonal stars or even making a DIY arrangement in an appropriately-sized flower pot. Mix in some natural (or artificial) vines and your design is sure to be a showstopper.
Get Mums-y
We love to repurpose. Use a vintage wagon or other whimsical planter as the inspiration for a colorful display of seasonal mums. Go chromatic with plants of the same color, or mix it up.
