Waterset Celebrates the 4th of July with Feeding Tampa Bay
The Waterset community came together this Tuesday to celebrate America’s 241st birthday with a food truck rally, live concert, food drive, and community fireworks.
On July 4th, Waterset held the first show in their 2017 Concerts for a Cause series, a set of concerts aimed at collecting non-perishables for Feeding Tampa Bay’s SouthShore food pantry.
Attendees had a variety of food trucks to choose from for dinner, including Bethune’s BBQ, Sawadee Thai, In The Middle, Poutine Truck, Big D’s Grub Wagon, and Kona Ice. Frequency Band wowed the crowd while families celebrated Independence Day.
Even an evening thunderstorm couldn’t put a damper on the fun at this event! Attendees chatted under tents and ate from the food trucks as they waited for the storm to pass. When it did, the band and the crowd were more energetic than ever, filling the Grand Lawn with a sense of community and celebration.
As the band performed their final song, the community fireworks began and the crowd turned to watch, with parents snuggling their children and spouses holding each other close.
The Concerts for a Cause series will continue in September, with collections continuing for this local charity. We hope to see you there!
