Holiday Festivities in Tampa Bay
With the Holidays creeping up on us, we have some fun and festive activities that you and the whole family can enjoy this holiday season, even though it may not feel like it outside. The Tampa Bay area hosts an array of holiday events, and we have compiled a few great ideas so that you don’t miss out on the fun!
Turkey Trot
November 28, 2024 - 8AM

Down in Apollo Beach, FL, if you're looking for an activity on Thanksgiving morning, come out to Waterset’s annual Turkey Trot at 8AM! There will also be a Kids’ Fun Run at 9AM. This is a great way to get your friends and family together and get active on Thanksgiving before your feast! The awards will be held directly after the race so you will be in and out quick and can return to your holiday festivities for the rest of the day! All proceeds will go to our local public schools in Apollo Beach: Doby Elementary, Eisenhower Middle School, East Bay High School and Dorothy C. York Innovation Academy.
Snow Tubing in Florida?

If you are a Florida native or if you are from up north, you will be sure to appreciate this next activity. Consider spending a day up in Dade City at the Snowcat Ridge Alpine Snow Park! It is a winter wonderland that is certainly worth the less than an hour drive. It is Florida’s only alpine Snowpark and features a 400ft tubing slide. There are endless activities for all ages to enjoy from tubing, ice skating, meeting Santa and strolling through their private Alpine Village for food and drinks. You can even touch real snow! They open for the season on November 22, 2024, and stay open until March of 2025. Tickets start as low as $29.95 and can be purchased through their website.
More Holiday Festivities
This next event in Hyde Park Village, Holiday Happening, is just right around the corner. On November 21, 2024, from 5PM-9PM browse through the local shops, stop into one of their amazing restaurants for a bite to eat and stay for the magical tree lighting! There will be live music and even a special visit from Santa! The tree lighting begins at 7PM and proceeds will go to benefiting The Children's Dream Fund. This is a great event for the whole family to attend in the beautiful area of Hyde Park close to Downtown Tampa.
If you have family coming into town for the Holiday season, a great place to take them is Armature Works, near Downtown Tampa! They offer endless holiday events from crafts, movies on the lawn, holiday markets, writing letters to Santa, a tree lighting ceremony and more! Their Holiday Market is being held on Sunday, December 8, 2024, from 11AM-3PM which will have seasonal treats, local vendors and festive goodies. There is plenty to do around Tampa Bay for the holiday season!
